Blah Blah Blah

Ever have those moments in your day where you just FEEL like screaming "CALGON TAKE ME AWAY" while running out the door and not even looking back? Well, I've had several of those today. I'm sure I am not the only one. I'd love to hear what ya'll do to chill yourself out when you're on the edge.

Well, to be honest, I do just scream more than I'd like. But--a few suggestions to avoid getting that mad--If you can tell it's going to be one of those days then take it easy on yourself. Let the kids watch tv and don't feel guilty about it. Make yourself a treat--a fancy cup of coffee or go get yourself a treat and just sit down and quit trying to get anything done. Go for a walk, get a pile of books and sit on the couch and read to the kids, if that's something they enjoy. Let the kids do something that should totally occupy them that you don't normally let them do---play in the water, finger paint with yogurt, playdoh, anything just to keep them busy and out of your hair. And, if none of this works--call a friend and try to get out of the house either alone if you can find a sitter or with the kids. I have had soooo many days like that!!! You are not alone my friend.

Stuff my face...or go to Target, that's what I do. Not at all productive though. Tiffany's were so much better! I'm actually glad I read her comment because it gave me new and healthier ways to deal with stress.
Actually on thing that ALWAYS works is going for a quick walk, even if it is just up and down my street, because usually what happens is I see someone and start chatting away and nothing beats that for calming me down.
