We don't have to move now!!!

We're back from Georgia. More on that later.
Lydi informed me the other day that we needed to find a new home. She said ours was not clean because of the big spider we had living on our ceiling in the living room. This was not the first time she'd expressed such concern. I'd been avoiding this subject. Not because of animal rights or anything. I really do not like spiders. But the thought of scaling the back of my couch in order to capture him was not at the top of my to-do list. You probably know where I'm going w/this.
Yes, the spider is dead now. It was a family effort-team work! I hoped Lydi would somehow be able to reach it w/ my dusting wand, but no. Once I was up on the couch, Jon decided to be the photographer. That was not in my plan, but it's so funny that I just had to share it! So here are pics of the big event from start to a smashing finish!

Remember the HUGE spider in our living room during home fellowship??? We get those kind of spiders every once in a while. I'm actually too scared of them to kill them. I have trapped one once with a bowl and threw it outside--it had an egg sac. Can you imagine??

Too funny! We have a similar spider living at the end of our hall. I like it. :)

That is great! Thank you Jon for the photos!!! We normally get a shoe and just smash the spider were ever it is, then clean-up. We have JUMPING SPIDERS here that have a nasty bite. Really do not like those! Of course there are the Black Widows and Brown Recluse that are more poisonous...but we don't get them in the house normally. Too much family fun!

I'm glad I found out about your blog, I'll be checking it all the time now! I've read the whole thing and remember the feeling of the needy-kid stage of parenting, hang in there and know you are doing a great job!
